| Types of package |
Lithium ingots are packed in pouches made of combined multi-layer material on Al-basis (PET/F/PE) and placed in polyethylene bags, one of which (internal) is evacuated and sealed thermally, while the other one (outer) is filled with argon and welded. A double polyethylene bag with lithium ingots is then placed inside a bubble polyethylene bag which thereafter is put inside 210 dm3 steel drum filled with dried argon, or into a leak-tight 160 dm3 steel container filled with argon to reach overpressure of 0,07 MPa.
Li metal pellets, wire and rods are packed in bags on the base of combined multilayer PET/F/PE material (laminated pouches) and inserted in thermally sealed tin-plate cans which are filled with mixture of molten paraffin and dried mineral oil. The cans are packed in wooden cans.
